DAW is engaged in the manufacture and sale of innovative coating systems. Initially an independent family-owned company, it has grown to become the third largest manufacturer of building paints in Europe thanks to its tradition since 1895. It holds its leading position mainly in the German and Austrian markets. Its subsidiary Caparol Czech sro, with which AUTOCONT has been successfully cooperating for a long time, operates on the Czech market.
Baseline and project objectives
The whole project started with a successful cooperation with the subsidiary Caparol Czech Ltd., which operates on the Czech market. Due to the satisfaction with the services of AUTOCONT, it was possible to start cooperation at other levels in other countries in Eastern Europe. DAW uses a data centre with an outdated infrastructure, without support from the manufacturer. Therefore, the goal was to provide modern technology to provide quality services and operation of the server infrastructure in a continuous mode and to simplify the entire operational system. The customer's requirement was also a fail-safe migration to the new environment.

Solution
AUTOCONT as a service partner uses the O2 hosting centre in Prague. The data center needed to replace components that were more than 7 years old and without manufacturer support since 2018. As these are key components and the technology runs critical systems for Central and Eastern Europe, the upgrade was necessary. AUTOCONT presented a solution and delivered a complete proposal for the redesign of the structure, which was presented by our technology guarantor Vladimír Tošer. This included a service contract proposal for the DAW branches in 24 x 7 x 365 mode, including supervision and foreign language service desk support. This ensured the stabilization of the entire infrastructure and smooth operation.
After implementation, AUTOCONT also took over the original contract with the connectivity and service centre supplier O2. Thus, we became the customer's only service partner for the operation of the infrastructure.
