Customer profile

HET spol. s r.o. is a purely Czech manufacturing and trading company. It has been operating on the building materials market since 1991. At first it distributed basic painting raw materials, later it expanded the range to include paints. In the beginning it was classic adhesive coatings and gradually the range of products grew to include interior dispersion and then facade paints. Today, the company ranks among the largest domestic manufacturers of coatings with a comprehensive range.

The shift in digitalisation was necessary for us and we could not find a suitable partner for a long time. The main goal was to create a B2B shopping portal to serve our customers faster. At the same time, we wanted to enable our end customers to see and present our product portfolio in a modern way on the new website. We addressed both areas and by integrating the PIM solution into the system architecture, we achieved greater efficiency in managing all product information.

Baseline and project objectives

HET had a graphically outdated, unresponsive web presentation with a non-ergonomic editorial system, fragmented product data (excels, file folders, editorial system, ERP) and B2B clients sent orders by email, fax and very often by phone.

The goal was to move the company into the online world, freeing up the hands of HET staff and allowing B2B customers to order products and access documents online.

Solution

The main part of the HET website is a product catalogue containing colour swatches for tinting paints and a tool for calculating the consumption of tinting paints according to the surface and the desired shade. The user has the possibility to calculate the consumption of both the base colour and the tinting colour and prepare the desired shade himself. Thanks to the store locator, the user can easily find a partner store, authorised e-shop or tinting centre.

Another part of the project was the implementation of a fast and reliable B2B sales portal with a lot of data loaded by integration with the ERP system Helios. This brought not only individual price lists, online stock levels, but also order simulations before shipment. Not to be missed are customer details with stock assignments, order summary, delivery notes, tax documents. All this data is subject to integration with ERP Helios, which enables fully digitized B2B sales.

The need to centrally manage product information led to the implementation of our own cloud-based PIM application, which provides product data to the B2C catalogue and B2B e-shop. This ensures there is one point of truth for all technical specifications, marketing texts and files and images, ensuring the correct information is always available on the website and e-shop.
